My life hasn’t been a straight line, and it certainly hasn’t been easy. For a long time, I was the girl who felt completely isolated in the crowded hallways of middle school. I genuinely believed everyone else in the world was handed a script to life, and I was the only one left out without the pages. I tried to “dress cool” and copy the other kids just to blend in, but behind the mask, I had never felt more completely alone.

It took time, a fierce best friend, and a lot of courage to realize that we don’t need a missing script to be worthy of belonging. Together, my best friend and I found our voices, built our social confidence, joined the high school cheer squad, and eventually took on college as a team.

But adulthood brought a completely new set of storms.

While navigating a massive university campus, I faced a devastating heartbreak due to romantic infidelity and betrayal. At the exact same time, I watched my best friend-my safe haven-survive the terror of domestic violence until she ultimately has to return home to find safety. Completely broken, unfocused, and carrying the weight of being hurt by so many people, my pain eventually boiled over into pure rage, landing me in a physical fight.

Exhausted and with my college dreams completely dashed, I had no choice but to rescue my own sanity and return home too. I laid down the books and became a hairdresser-a beautiful, grounding career I would proudly walk for the next 15 years.

The Turning Point: 1999

But right in the middle of rebuilding my life behind the salon chair, the most painful, world-shattering tragedy of my life occurred. In 1999, I experienced a stillbirth.

Losing a baby is a grief so profoundly dark that it shatters your entire existence. I was entirely empty, face-to-face with a sorrow that I couldn’t survive on my own. But it was right there, the deepest, most quiet valley of my life, that a miracle happened.

I surrendered my broken heart and gave my life to Jesus Christ. Shortly after, in the

stillness of the night, I had a dream where I audibly heard the voice of GOD break through the darkness. He spoke directly into my pain, called me by my name, and said:

“Olita! trust in the LORD.”

Those five words became a supernatural anchor that sustained me through the next 15 years of my life. When I stepped back behind my salon chair, I wasn’t just cutting hair anymore. God immediately began using my brokenness to comfort other women sitting in my chair who were drowning in the exact same grief.

My Mission Today

I started Testimonial TV because I refuse to let my decades of survival go to waste.

I am living proof that what the enemy meant for your destruction, GOD will use as a lifeline to save someone else. You are being equipped right now in your fire to comfort someone else that no one else can reach.
